One of my favorite things about running Vanguard’s social media accounts is getting to talk to new people all the time. I get to hear their story, their motivation behind their creativity, and answer a lot of questions about gear (one of my favorite topics, naturally!)

So it intrigued me when more and more modern acoustic fingerstyle guitarists started approaching me about Vanguard Audio Labs microphones. My brother is a very “geeky” acoustic guitarist, so when I asked him about some of the names he lit up like a Christmas tree!

Modern acoustic fingerstyle is, in my estimation, a tricky thing to record. Percussive elements, constant movement up and down the fretboard, rhythmic elements underlying the melody…there’s a LOT to capture. That’s not even mentioning the unique challenges of instruments like double-neck or harp guitars!
