The Vanguard V4 was born out of numerous requests we had for a “mono” version of our renowned V44S dual capsule stereo mic. Users told us that they loved the clean and full character of the V44S, but wanted a single capsule version for vocals and other applications. A superlative vocal mic, showing up European FET LDCs costing 2 and 3x more, the V4 gen2 has become a favorite amongst brass and woodwind players due to its beautiful handling of high SPL sources, like trumpets, yet still nuanced and delicate enough for flutes. With it’s high SPL handling capability, it’s also a gorgeous solution for guitar amps, and kick drum!

The Solo, BASE 4’s flagship mic stand, is designed to cover a wide range of applications.
