Eric’s music has been performed at Boston Symphony Hall, Tanglewood, Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, and the Juilliard School. His recent film score for International Falls, starring Rachael Harris and Rob Huebel, garnered critical acclaim; and his work on Winter Passing included musical collaborations with Will Ferrell, Ed Harris, and Zooey Deschanel.
Eric recently added our esteemed V24 Stereo Tube Condenser to his mic locker. In fact, he knew exactly what he wanted to put it to use before the purchase. Now that he’s had the chance to use it, he had this to say:
“[The V24] is an absolute masterpiece, and has transformed ensemble recording for me. The build quality and brilliant capsule-rotating ‘tank turret’ inspires confidence, the extra phase-reverse output on the power supply is genius and makes mid-side recording a snap, and the overall sound is nothing less than astounding. Bravo to Derek and the whole Vanguard team for creating a modern classic!”

Thanks Eric! It’s a real honor for us to be part of your flow. We especially appreciate seeing the V24 used in orchestral applications. We think it’s the best mic of it’s kind being made today, and to hear it used like this is very gratifying.
